UNITS

In the game a of the modes that make up your army are referred to as units, whether they are troopers or vehicles. Each unit has its own unit sheet, or just sheet, that lists a the things you need to know about it in order to play.

During a battle, you take it in turns to control your units one at a time, moving, shooting and fighting with a singe unit before your enemy does the same.

TROOPERS

You don't control a single trooper model at a time, but a group of them, called a squad. This is usually four different troopers who are controlled at the same time. When the term unit is used it means just a single trooper, but whenever squad is used it means all four models.

NOTE: Pease remember that a units start the game with fu armour and the siding scale should be paced on the highest number to the left of the unit sheet.

THE TURN

In ROBOGEAR a battle is made up of turns. n a turn both payers control a of the units that make up their army. When a units have been controlled the turn is over and a new one begins. A battle will go on from turn to turn until one payer has won. Who wins depends on what kind of batte you are paying. At the back of this booklet is a list of missions that you can pay, each of which has different conditions to determine exactly who wins.

WHO GOES FIRST?

At the start of the turn, to decide who controls their unit first both players roll a dice whoever rolls highest decides which unit to use first. f you roll the same number, just roll again and keep on rolling until someone rolls higher. The payer who goes first picks a unit to control. Once he has finished the other payer chooses a unit of his own to control. Then, it's back to the first payer to choose, and so on. Once a unit has been used it cannot be used again until the next turn. Once each unit has been used on both sides the turn is over and a new one begins.

WHAT A UNIT CAN DO

A unit can move, shoot and fight when you choose to control it, but it can't do everything at once. Normally a unit will be able to do just two things, either moving and shooting or moving and fighting.

To move and shoot a unit must spend its resource points. How exactly they are spent is up to you, but we'll come to this again further on.

TYPES OF UNIT

In ROBOGEAR your army can be made up of lots of different kinds of units. Below is a list of the four unit types in your ROBOGEAR set. In the ROBOGEAR box you have some fighting vehicles as well as your troopers. Other units are available separately so that you can expand your force into an unstoppable army. Ask your local toy shop for details or visit WWW.ROBOGEAR.RU

- TROOPERS are your fighting men, highly trained soldiers armed with futuristic weapons and protected by power armour. Troopers are flexible units who come in four different specialties (Rifleman, Sniper, Machinegunner and Bomber) making them able to fulfill a wide range of different roles in your army.

- TRACKED VEHICLES are similar to modern day tanks and use powerful tracks to move at speed over rough terrain. Tough and reliable tracked vehicles are useful in all battles and are best when fighting alongside your troopers.

- WAR WALKERS are some the mightiest units in your army and are often equipped with the most devastating weapons and strongest armour.
War walkers are at their best when leading your other troops into the fight.

- FLYERS are small, nimble flying machines that zip around the battlefield to attack the enemy where they are weakest. With speed, agility and lethal weaponry, flyers are often your enemy's worst nightmare.
