Night-stalkers are very spiteful and aggressive nation and before Markus nobody managed to subdue and make them serve. They
are almost insane – they feel pleasure of killing and destroying and for a long time the Empire waged against them the war to the knife. Nobody
knows how Markus attracted night-stalkers to his side, but under his command they attack planets of Frontier and the Protectorate for the Empire
money.
During 12 years, Marcus took part in battles on more than a dozen planets and every such battle meant numerous casualties both among soldiers and civilians. He was in command of the Empire troops in the famous Void Battle, the combat for the space station Tarngarodrim, which was in the orbit around the planet with the same name. As it is known Void Battle resulted in the fall of the station on the planet surface and its break-up into asteroids as a result of the blast wave.
Three Free Worlds
Markus Three-Eye
Having taken advantage of the distemper in the times of Usurpation and the period of Regency formation, the old bandit made
his best not to lose the chance. Markus was in command of a small (according to the Empire criterion) mercenary detachment of night-stalkers
and some clone-units attached to him as reinforcements. Besides Markus had at his disposal a flotilla of transport and warships including a
heavy cruiser as his flagship.
Relying on these, devoted to him personally forces, Markus took under his control several densely populated star systems in
an extremely busy sector – just at the interfaces between the territories of Empire Confederation, Dragon Segunate and Trade Protectorate.
Since then, Three Free Worlds as they were soon called became a real hotbed of piracy, smuggling and slave-trading. Markus was busy with
brigandage on the territories of the Protectorate, his raiders robbed edge worlds of Segunate and some planets of the Confederation simply
paid him a tribute.
Nevertheless, the lucky brigand managed to avoid large-scale punitive expeditions – obviously both the Protectorate and
Lady Agatha preferred to put up with Three Free Worlds from some political considerations and came to nothing more than infrequent police
actions and from time to time caught gone too far raiders.
