It is undoubtedly that the Dead Emperor Cult and bloody religious insanity that gripped Dead Fleet is the direct consequence of Lord Erkhart’s own madness. But some people think that the matter is not only in his madness. There is a version that Erkhart had laid hold on samples of some psychotropic weapon, which allows changing people’s mind and just this caused the violent growth of the cult.

According to another version, the psychotropic weapon is Erkhart himself whose mind had been changed in some secret Empire laboratories.

Besides Dead Fleet and the paying a tribute planets Erkhart has at his disposal several planets, former army bases of the old Empire. On this planets there were not only large stocks of munition, but also conservated clone-factories, which Erkhart’s engineers had again launched. But until he does not go far beyond his sector of space, this does not bother the supreme powers of both superstates.

It is practically nothing to tell about Erkhart’s “relations” with neighbors – they are simply absent. What relations can be with a religious fanatic, who proclaimed as his main purpose murdering of as more people as possible? It is known for sure that Lord Erkhart’s people never enter into negotiations and always kill bearers of the flag of truce. These make all neighbors keep far aloof from the sector under the control of mad Lord Erkhart.
