Lord Erkhart
In spite of the fact that all members of Empire Legion practice the cult of War, not all of them approach this service in the same way. The
majority considers war something similar to a game of chess, where the most clever and far-sighted wins. But there are Lords, who regard war
as a bloody arena, where the very purpose of the war is not of the paramount importance, but only the process of murder and bloodshed has sense.
Lord Erkhart is probably the most odd, though it would be more accurate to say – insane, of all members of Empire Legion.
Almost all Legionaries got wounds and severe injuries in battles, but all of them took a course of regeneration and restored their bodies.
However all rules have exclusions. After Erkhart had lost his both arms in the battle for Fortress of Young Sprouts he literally went off his
head. He was an offspring of a glorious noble family, which had heroes won fame in hundreds of battles from generation to generation. Having
sustained a defeat Erkhart on his opinion had disgraced his family and just this burnt him most of all. Instead of regenerating his arms,
Erkhard ordered to implant him battle manipulators. Each such manipulator gives him the strength of ten men. Besides these artificial arms
have an impressive selection of weapons from lasers to sharp claws of alloyed steel. Just because of this Erkhart got his nickname, Steel Claw
Erkhart left the Empire medical center only by the end of the Second Wave of Intrusion. Nevertheless, he found a source
of slaking his passion for killing. Before the Third Wave of Intrusion, the Empire was paving the way for further conquests and, in particular,
hired mercenaries and pirates to prevent the Protectorate from reinforcing its borders. Erkhart took one of such fleets under his command and
set off to pirate into the Protectorate space. Already a year later he acquired the reputation of a ruthless slayer, for whom the notion
“civil population” did not exist. Whole peaceful towns on underdeveloped planets alongside the borders of the Protectorate and Empire were
turned into smoking ruins. Finally, a united squadron of several star systems with the support of the Protectorate drove Erkhart with his
fleet into a corner, having pressed to the very edge of the gravitation field of a black hole. As a result of that violent space combat,
which very soon turned into a boarding combat, Erkhart’s entire fleet was destroyed and he himself had to flee from his ship in a life-saving
capsule.
