The oligarchs, having supported Emperor Diego before, had to look for a compromise with the new masters of the Empire nevertheless Regent announced outlawed the most active sponsors of Usurper Diego. It would be naive to think that after Regency had been proclaimed all separated provinces rushed immediately back, under the firm hand of Polaris Prime. In the meanwhile, Regent’s power was fully applied only to those 30 “middle” worlds of the Empire, from which the great expansion over the Dominion had once started, and to some isolated worlds where the power of Regent maintained by force of the Empire fleet and Space Landing Troops.
