Ron "Dagger" Fulton
Ron Fulton nicknamed Dagger was one of the most famous commanders of raid groups of the Empire. Dagger Fulton didn’t fit in the framework of
the military discipline. Long before the battle for Velian he gained ill repute as an anarchist. Any other in his place would finish his days
on a remote prison planet long ago, but Fulton got away with everything. Wishing to get rid of the unpredictable subordinate, his commanders
well regularly included him in assault groups. And every time, Dagger Fulton came back confirming his reputation of a hero and lucky devil.
Ron Dagger Fulton is widely known on the both sides of the front, he is charged with the most risky operations. His detachment consists of
adventurers and dare-devils of the same kind as he himself is. Dagger Fulton widely uses captured machines of the Protectorate for arming his
team. In spite of his fame, Fulton hasn’t been rewarded with any order of the Empire.
Dagger Fulton, well-known for his scandalous character was the Empire pilot of a assault gravi-flyer. He became famous firstly for the fact that
he came out safe and sound of the most incredible messes and secondly for his endless conflicts with his commanders and the Military Police.
“A foolhardy pilot, man of courage and mortal enemy of the army discipline” – so said all his commanders about Dagger. Dagger was recommended
for the order “The Empire’s Sword” for his participation in the fights on Velian. But the grandiose booze-up that he arranged on the occasion
of his decorating finished with knifing. So instead of the ceremonial decoration Fulton got into a military prison for seven years.
Meanwhile the Watchful Peace set in, but soon the Raid War flared up. Before the both sides began to apply unitars massively, the Empire Main
Intelligence Service recruited and committed to missions raid groups. For such a “work” they needed people who had rare strains – initiative and
ability to act without a backward glance on any rules. At first the Intelligence Service recruited pirates, but in the course of time the
monitors remembered about people of Dagger Fulton type.
Dagger was presented the alternative – either to serve the remaining 4 years of imprisonment, or to get freedom and to take command over a raid
group. Fulton chose the second without any hesitation.
Only during three months, Dagger’s raid group charged to their account four fulfilled missions of baffling complexity. The colonel of the Empire
Intelligence Service, who supervised Dagger, understood that the unquiet pilot had finally found his place and gave to Dagger Fulton the right to
reman his raid group independently. Dagger immediately gathered his friends from out-of-the-way garrisons and penal battalions and raised the
detachment called “Dagger’s Gang”. The detachment consisted of four gravi-flyers, two captured walking tanks Predator and a squad of dare-devil
commandos. Dagger with this raid group executed the famous attack against the orbital shipyards of the planet Far Harbor – this incredible in its
hardihood operation became a legend.
When unitars were included in raid groups, Dagger also beefed up the infantry squad of his unit with unitars, but in his
detachment only people served as pilots – foolhardy dare-devils and all of them were customers of the Empire Military Police.
During one of their raids, Dagger’s team captured a research station of the Protectorate situated on an asteroid. From this station Dagger brought
back a prototype model of a thermonuclear micro-reactor intended for fighting machines. Instead of passing the trophy to the Intelligence Service,
he demanded from the technicians to install the loot on his personal gravi-flyer, captured Sprut, which at all times he preferred to the Empire
Thunder. Of course, the Empire officer and commander wasn’t supposed to fly on a captured gravi-flyer, but raiders were excused for many things
and moreover it was convenient as a tactical matter.
Dagger’s Sprut had non-standard in comparison with its base model armament. It carried two modified plasma guns – the power of that prototype
reactor was quite enough to increase considerably their power. The firepower of his Sprut could be compared with the firepower of assault walking
tanks and Dagger skillfully and cruelly uses this weapon.
The armament of Ron Dagger Fulton’s gravi-flyer:
-- Two modified plasma guns “Dragon Fire” PGM-13 Mk1, produced by Star Fire Industries (the Protectorate).
-- 4 multi-purpose guided missiles “Lance” R-22.
The coloration of Dagger Fulton’s gravi-flyer
As everybody knows that raiders often don’t like the standard schemes of the coloration accepted in regular units. Dagger
Fulton decorated his captured Sprut with a dreadful image of shark’s jaws full of teeth on the front of the monoblock. Evil tongues repeated
that he had preferred the Protectorate gravi-flyer because such a decoration obviously didn’t fit the angular shapes of Thunder.
