Description / application in missions

It is an assault vehicle developed on the basis of Demolisher. Eraser is as slow as its prototype and at the same time less durable, but at a short range it has such strong drumfire that it simply burns to ashes any opponent appeared in a dangerous proximity to it. It can inflict serious damage even at a medium range too. Eraser is not widely adopted only because if its high cost.

The Empire designers created their own variant of an assault caterpillar machine – Eraser. This machine with its most powerful anti-tank weapons and considerable armor excellently supplemented mobile groups of walking tanks both in attack and defense. Eraser is equipped with one of the best models of artillery armament – double-barreled anti-tank cannon, quite effective at short and medium ranges. This cannon and the power gun make Eraser a very dangerous both at short distances and in close combat, besides its twin missile launcher amplifies its firepower. The Empire pilots made sure very soon that those, who took the risk of allowing Eraser to come at a close distance, remained to live for a few seconds. For all its obvious combat advantages, Eraser looks rather absurd – such a high and narrow “chest” mounted on short tracks and crowned with “horns” of the missile launcher. Moreover such a construction doesn’t add to Eraser any stability – the machine lists dangerously on steep slopes and can fall on one side. For the first time Eraser was applied in the famous battle for Velian. Since then the production of this machine has continuously been increasing.

The armament of the assault caterpillar machine Eraser:

-- Twin missile launcher “Double Hammer” for unguided missiles R-6. The Empire’s model of this weapon except for its name is absolutely the same as the Protectorate’s one. The missile launcher “Double Hammer” can be charged with the Protectorate missiles Mk12. In contrast to complex and expensive self-guided missiles, the missiles R-6 have no guidance system. A gunner points them at a target like a cannon with the help of a telescopic sight. These missiles are widespread everywhere and produced both in the Protectorate and the Empire. The missiles R-6 and the launcher “Hammer” were developed by the Empire Directorate of Missile Weaponry.
-- Lightning harpoon “Power Bolt” PB-1M, developed by the Empire Institute of High-Energy Technology. The lightning harpoon is the weapon of close combat and it is a good substitution for fists-manipulators, saws of different kinds and claws. While creating this weapon, the Empire engineers purposed their object as to disable with the very first strike anyone, which would dare to approach this fighting machine at the distance of the strike. This weapon uses super-high-voltage discharge to hit its target at a short distance. The gun inflicts the opponent enormous damage exceeding the effect of any other weapon. The lightning harpoon is useless at longer distances.
-- Two-barreled armor-piercing cannon of 35 mm caliber ATC-35X2, developed by the Empire Main Artillery Office. In contrast to the Protectorate light model, this weapon is a really effective instrument for fighting armored machines. This is one of the most powerful kinds of light weapons mounted on armored machines. Large dimensions and design features of this cannon limited its sphere of application – it is mounted only on the Empire heavy machines.
